Gauhati High Court (GHC) has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 11 posts of Practicing Advocates in Grade-I of the Assam Judicial Service. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online from 27.08.2025 to 14.09.2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
(i) The candidate must be a citizen of India as defined under Articles 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India.
(ii) The candidate must hold a Degree in Law from a recognized University.
(iii) The candidate must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for receipt of applications, and must have been in continuous practice for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years as on that date. A certificate of continuous practice issued by the competent authority is required to be uploaded at the time of online application and produced again during document verification.
(iv) The candidate must also be a practicing Advocate at the time of appointment.
Salary: Rs.1,44,840-1,94,660/- per month.
Age limit:
# Unreserved: Minimum 35 years & Maximum 45 years.
# SC/STP/STH: Minimum 35 years & Maximum 48 years.
